Can I buy the Home Assistant Yellow pre-assembled? No. We previously offered a Home Assistant Yellow Standard model that came pre-assembled with a Raspberry Pi CM4, but this model is no longer manufactured. It is now recommended that if you want a more plug-and-play experience, you purchase a Home Assistant Green, as it requires no assembly and matches many of the capabilities of the Yellow, especially if you add a Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 to give it Zigbee/Thread capability.

Yellow Kit with power supply

Get the Yellow Kit with a power supply—just assemble and go! This kit closely matches the flagship version, featuring a custom enclosure, custom heat sink, and an included Ethernet cable. However, it does not include a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4.

You'll need to provide your own Compute Module 4 and install Home Assistant to customize memory and eMMC storage based on your needs. While the kit includes a power supply, it does not support Power-over-Ethernet.

This version of Home Assistant Yellow arrived ready to use right out of the box. It came pre-assembled in a custom enclosure with a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4), a custom heat sink for silent operation, and the Home Assistant Operating System pre-installed.

Although Home Assistant Yellow Standard is no longer in production, it will continue to receive the same support as the kit models. For a more plug-and-play experience, check out Home Assistant Green.
